FINANCIAL POLICY

Our office accepts most dental insurance plans. We also take cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We will extend credit to qualified patients. We will set up payment plans for you. As a courtesy to you, we will file your insurance claims and fight with your insurance company for you. Please realize that most dental insurance companies do not pay as much as they lead you to believe that they will. They will tell you that we charge too much for our area or they will nickel and dime you on the type of procedure that is done. That is just the way most dental insurance companies operate. We will help you with the necessary paperwork and documentation, but it is important to realize that the dental treatment was done on YOU (not your insurance company), so YOU are ultimately responsible for your bill.

On a more positive note, we also give courtesy discounts for pre-payment of dental treatment.

If you feel that you have special concerns or problems, we will be happy to discuss your situation with you.

INFECTION CONTROL

Our dental facility meets or exceeds all Indiana laws in regards to infection control. Dental instruments are sterilized in either our chemclave or our autoclave. Surfaces are wiped down between patients. Many surfaces are covered with plastic and this plastic is changed between patients. Gloves are worn for all procedures and these gloves are changed between patients. Our autoclave and chemclave are tested on a regular basis with spore strips that are then sent to Indiana University for analysis. Everything that is put in your mouth is either sterilizable or disposable.

If you ever have any concerns about our infection control methods, just ask and we will show you how it all works. Our infection control techniques are both time consuming and expensive. The American Dental Association estimates that it costs approximately $23.00 in time and materials to turn a dental operatory over between patients.
